Maria is very active making sure every student in the Middle School has what they need.
Maria runs the coats for kids in the Middle School. She seeks out any student who might not have a warm winter coat. She then finds benefactors , shops for each kid on an individual bases. She stretches the dollars so that each kid gets their own style jacket, hat mittens and a personal gift such as paints or a book, and then assembles a group of elves to wraps.
Maria runs the back pack program. She gets the list of every Middle School student who might struggle buying all of their school supplies. Again she shops for backpacks, notebooks, calculators, and any other supply needed for a great start to the new school year.
Maria DeAngelo provides popcorn out of her own pocket every Friday for every student and many teachers in the Middle School.
Maria DeAngelo provides a birthday gift to every Middle School Student. She wants to make sure that every student gets at least one gift on their birthday. Again, out of her own pocket her home base students deliver packs of gum and new pencils along with a cute birthday card to each student. She even covers the summer birthdays.
Maria also opens up her classroom DAILY TO ALL MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS, Without pay!!!
These are just a few of the many things Maria Deangelo humbly does for our students. When she is asked about it, she always says "It's not a big deal."
